Is this thesis really good if im opposing english only laws? does it tell what im trying to say?
The United States is known for its vast growing multi-cultures making it the melting pot of all nations. It attracts many foreigner from all over the world with the logo the land of free and prosperity. It is the safe haven for many immigrants who have dealt with poverty and war and are searching for the American dream. But this dream that promise freedom and the purist of happiness will soon end for many immigrants. Many states senators have postponed this dream with an unjust law called the English- only, which prohibits the use of other languages in various areas like private business and government-related facilities. This English-only law was created to imilate many immigrants who don’t speak English to learn the language. These same states who believe that immigrants should digest English as their foreign tongue now have remove the support these immigrants need to learn English. The bilingual education program that’s provides federal funding to schools to help immigrant children with limited English-speaking ability to meet state standards in literacy. Many states believe that this program is an ineffective funding and should no longer be funded. They believe that these non-English speakers should be place in a clroom where they will learn better if they are surrounded by fluent English speakers. But is this fair to immigrants, do they not have the same equal rights as Americans to receive educational opportunities?
