Is this spam?

It is a scam. I used to get these all the time and finally turned them over to the police. They send you a "check" which is fake for you to deposit in your account. Then you give them their balance. In the end, the check is found to not be real and bounces and you lose all that money plus what you gave them. Luckily, I didn't let it go that far. I had the bank check it out before I tried to deposit the check.
