Is Mozart a greater composer than Bach?
I know many musicologist put Bach on top following Mozart then Beethoven a close third, but isn't Mozart the greatest of the three? my music teacher once said that while Bach is the perfection of Form and Beethoven's music is fiery with pion, Mozart is the perfection of both, baroque music particularly Bach's is very outwardly complex and intellectual, but Mozart's music is absolutely sublime, I think it takes greater genius to make music of deceptive simplicity which is truly very complex, plus Bach did not compose symphonies (though thats understandable since it didn't exist at his time) and Bach never wrote a single opera in his life, plus I think that Mozart's great m in c-minor, though incomplete, is relatively superior to Bach's M in B-Minor
