Why is my lower left jaw bone hurting & its swollen really bad? ? ?

it had been hurtin already for afew days but it wasnt swollen & today wen i woke up the left side of my mouth is swollen really bad. My wisdom tooth hasnt came out yet could dat be it??? can anyone help??
