Hereditary mental disorders & having children? Curious?

There is no right or wrong here. It depends on how you feel and if you are willing to raise a bipolar child given that it is not easy. I have three children. Out of the three, one is autistic, one is bipolar, and one is typical. Researchers say that autism and bipolar disease are on the same gene, but I don't really know that for sure. The real question here is are you willing to raise a child that MAY have a very serious disorder. I was willing to do that but it is a very personal decision.
